A wonderful stop in the Waldnaab Valley. Despite the queasy feeling of sitting under the chamber wagon with its tons of granite, it is a lovely place to rest and look out over the Waldnaab Valley. Anvil, chamber wagon, butter churn - the Waldnaab Valley is always worth a trip. The numerous different hiking trails mean you can always reach your actual destination (log cabin) in a relaxed manner.

The granite rock group Kammerwagen is - coming from Falkenberg - the first major bottleneck in the Waldnaab Valley. The strange name "Kammerwagen" comes from a legend: In former times in the Kammerwagen, the second carriage in the wedding train, the dowry of the bride was stowed in large chests, carried along. According to legend, here in Waldnaabtal the chamber car was petrified. In fact, the block-shaped blocks and the entire structure are reminiscent of a high-loading compartment wagon.
