Allinge Dome
Every year in mid-June, the Folkemødet - a Danish folk and political meeting - takes place in and around Allinge. The center of the week-long event is the Allinge Domen, a dome-like wooden building with a typical Scandinavian modern design. Originally conceived and built by Copenhagen architects Tejlgaard & Jepsen as a temporary meeting space for the Folkemødet and a basis for discussion about future housing, it is now an integral part of the meeting and the place.
