On the Falknis from St. Luzisteig via Enderlinhütte with a circular hike back via Mittlerspitz, Matan and Guscha:
Incidentally, it is an absolutely beautiful and varied hike in a wonderful landscape with a brilliant panorama. However, it is only safe in safe and dry weather and not dangerous in wet weather and only for experienced mountain climbers, blue and white marked T4 trails.
At Sankt Luzisteig there is enough free parking space on the south side of the military facility directly on the main road. There the way up to the Enderlinhütte, Fläscher Fürggli and Falknis is signposted. The ascent is quite varied. However, the 1850 meter difference in altitude makes demands on the condition. It is a normal hiking trail (T3) to the Enderlinhütte SAC. From then on, a good path goes up steep meadows and over some rock sections (T4) to the Fläscher Fürggli. After that it will be easier again. The descent is only recommended for good knees. The way back over the Guschasattel, Mittlerspitz, Matan, Guscha to the parking lot in St. Luzisteig is more pleasant. Even if the route takes a little longer than the direct descent, it is highly recommended. On the one hand it is easier on the knees, on the other hand it is very varied and almost always with a beautiful view. If you still want to save time downhill, you can descend from the Guschasattel directly to Guscha. If you have an hour more time, you should descend over the Mittlerspitz and Matan to Guscha. The route via Matan is particularly pleasant (pay attention to the signs). There is also a bubbling fountain at Matan. Refreshments are available in the Enderlinhütte and at Guscha. This variant is recommended for physically good hikers. It is more versatile and you don't have to adjust to the times for a reserved train in the morning or in the evening. A really beautiful and very varied circular hike.
