The beach is close to the city center and the pedestrian zone and is a natural meeting place for the city's citizens and tourists all summer long.

Østerstrand is Fredericia's largest beach and has been nominated several times as Denmark's best beach.
The beach near the Little Belt is an ideal place to relax and offers everything you need for a perfect day out. The beach is designed as a wide sandy beach and offers good swimming opportunities from the water or from the large circular jetty in the middle of the beach.
Østerstrand is a family-friendly beach with good restroom facilities and changing rooms. Restrooms and showers are available. The restroom building also has a family changing room with shower facilities.
