There is also the weir crossing between Petershagen and Lahde a few kilometers south (normally open from March 15th to October 31st). However, it has an extremely steep ramp on the Petershäger side, which cyclists should only "enjoy" with caution.

Those who don't want to go swimming will probably have to make do with the Weser Bridge. The two bike paths on the bridge (one in each direction) are narrow, but reasonably tolerable. The two downward ramps (on the Lahder side as well as on the Petershäger side) and the upward ramp on the Lahder side are catastrophically bad, yes dangerous🙈😢‼️: Much too steep, and at the end there is a danger of a bypass or a sharp right-hand bend with a boundary wall. The obligatory "Cyclists dismount" signs in such cases are of little help in overcoming this structural error. With full panniers you also have considerable problems pushing. Bike friendly looks different‼️
