The 16,000 sq. foot skate park was opened and expanded in 2009 and is said to be the only skate park in the world that is located directly on the sea. The design was created by local skaters and professional skaters and was supplemented with a street section in addition to the bowls. The skate park was built in 10 months and cost $3.5 million to build.
