The path around the Hirschgröhrkopf is very beautiful, but very narrow in some places and leads past steep, very deeply sloping grasschrofen; a fall would end badly here. You need surefootedness and a head for heights. In my opinion, the path is therefore unsuitable for small or inexperienced children.

Great view and there are several places in the castle ruins that invite you to take a break and have a small picnic. Definitely recommended, especially if it is warm enough to sit outside a little.

Please note that the Hohenwaldeck castle ruin itself is currently closed due to the risk of collapse. Otherwise very nice tour.

Access to the castle ruins is closed due to renovation work and for safety reasons. The work is scheduled to be completed in autumn 2024. After that, the cultural and historical monument will be accessible again to enjoy the phenomenal view over the Schliersee.
