From here, it takes about another 15 to 20 minutes to get up to the Altmann. From there, you have an incredible view. But be careful, there's no marked path up, and surefootedness and some experience are required.

The way here is difficult. In return, the saddle offers a beautiful all-round view of the Alpstein. In the distance, the Säntis with its transmitter is waiting, but directly above it is the Altmann in an exposed position, while in the south the Wildhuser Schafberg is waiting to be conquered after an adventurous hike through alpine terrain.
