Klöden Castle - located directly on the Elberadweg. A beautiful beer garden in the castle courtyard, which you as a pedal knight are very happy to accept. A small restaurant is integrated in the castle itself, where you can get delicious home-made food at very fair prices. I had a delicious farmer's breakfast with chanterelles for € 10.50. There was also a homemade lemonade. The normal farmers breakfast is available for € 8.50 (as of 2019). We really liked it and tasted it. And, what was very nice for the operators, the castle was very well visited !!
And if you are already in the castle, then you should also visit the castle museum in peace. Everything is very interesting. Admission is not payable. If you want, you should throw something into the "donation chest" in the entrance so that it can be used to maintain the castle.

The late medieval Klöden Castle is one of the oldest in Saxony-Anhalt and has undergone all sorts of renovations and changes of ownership. “Landlord” Thomas Petzold is chairman of the support association that has owned the castle since 2005. He is committed to maintaining them, while his wife Sylke runs the small castle restaurant with a beer garden. Over the years, the friendly couple have catered to cycling and hiking tourists and have gained a real fan base with a lovingly run restaurant, a replica torture cellar and the unique local museum.
