unfortunately locked; to the platform once around the building outside; Railway line to Neustadt / Pirna due to allegedly "short-term staff shortage" currently daily in replacement traffic; Railway line to Bad Schandau due to Flood damage currently in replacement traffic - are tourists by train really welcome here ?!

Sebnitz station has existed since the opening of the Bautzen–Bad Schandau railway line on July 1, 1877.
Since the resumption of cross-border service on July 5, 2014, Sebnitz station has been served every two hours by regional trains on lines U28 (Děčín–Rumburk) and RB71 (Pirna–Sebnitz).
Since February 3, 2017, Sebnitz has been the third official national park station in Germany.
