What is special about the harbor are the fishing boats, which are pulled ashore with a winch and so you can see a boat from "below". If you want, you can park your car on the beach or turn around again.

The port of Løkken is definitely worth a visit. Cute are the typical Danish bathhouse on the beach. The pier can be fixed to the top and offers a great all-round view. Dry-laid ships on the beach can be admired nearby. A detour to the surfcafe is worthwhile, delicious drinks and snacks at moderate prices.
The adjacent pedestrian area of Løkken has various restaurants with wind-protected outdoor areas to offer (there you can take place in dog accompanying) and smaller nice shops (clothing, leather goods, amber).
In addition the well-known candy factory, which is definitely worth a look and also small purchase.

Like Skagen and Lønstrup, Løkken scores with an intact townscape and a large number of shops and restaurants. Most holiday guests rent one of the numerous summer houses. But there is also a traditional bathing hotel that was opened in 1895.

Løkken is known for the fine bathing beach with 485 white bathing houses that are on the beach from May to October. They are privately owned and permits are issued by the local government on the basis of waiting lists. The stand fee is around 280 euros per season.

The highlight of the day in Løkken is when the fishing boats return from the North Sea and are pulled ashore. Perhaps it is one of the five remaining fishing boats that return after fishing for cod in "The Deep".
Løkken is - together with Nr. Vorupør, Lild and Thorup Strande - one of the few places in Denmark where fish is still landed on the beach. The fishermen sell their catch directly from the boat and by sending an SMS you can find out when the boats are coming ashore. Caught fish cannot be fresher.

The boats of hobby and part-time fishermen are pulled ashore with ropes from the winch house or by tractors, as is the case in many smaller harbors in North Jutland.
