A really nice moated castle, you can (without wheels) in the courtyard with garden or even around it, with beautiful views of the ensemble. Unfortunately, there is no gastronomy in the immediate vicinity, but the village of Welbergen, about 1.5 km away, offers guest houses where you can stop off.

Haus Welbergen is perhaps one of the most beautiful secrets of the Münsterland. Although the moated castle is not as well known as many other castles in Westphalia, it is in no way inferior to them in terms of beauty and charm. Embedded in a small forest area, Haus Welbergen is located about 5 kilometers from Ochtrup.

The complex reminded us a bit of English gardens. Beautifully planted inner courtyard, very well maintained and when the sun is lower, a wonderful atmosphere spreads. Perfect to end the bike tour.
