Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, hundreds of people have arrived in the Rhein-Hunsrück district through a variety of channels, especially through volunteer work, and found shelter here. The first 22 refugees from Ukraine have now been accommodated in the former youth hostel in Sargenroth.
