In front of the chapel there are tables and benches for resting.

One set is even made of polished marble. It was donated in 2011 by the Emsbacherhof Trulben Mandolin Orchestra.

This modern chapel was rebuilt in 1984. The foundation stone of the previous one was laid in 1800. The chapel is located on a lofty little hill. There are also many benches and tables, some in the shade, for a rest.

The chapel is a field chapel dedicated to the patron saint of animals. Its origin goes back to the 6th and 7th centuries. The chapel is located on the "Lange Ahnung" hill between the towns of Trulben and Hochstellerhof and can be easily reached via the Trulber sand rabbit trail.

A window in the chapel is dedicated to St. Dedicated to Wendelin. The scene alludes to the legend that St. Wendelin, who, although educated and of royal origin, had chosen to live in poverty and prayer and came to the Blies and Saar area in search of a suitable place. There he was employed as a herdsman, ignorant of his high origin. His employer later built him a cell near the Saarland town of St. Wendel, which is named after him.
