Approximately 100 meters south of the Hohe Lehde lookout point is the Sera Stone. It commemorates the solstice festivals celebrated on the Hohe Lehde by the Jena publisher Eugen Diederichs and the Sera Circle he founded in 1904. This youth movement came to an end with the outbreak of World War I. The stone was erected in 1919 to commemorate the young men who died in the war.

Approximately 2.5 kilometers from Tautenburg, on the Hohen Lehde, lies the so-called Serastein. Inextricably linked to this place is the name of the Jena publisher Eugen Diederichs. For him, Tautenburg and its surrounding forest were a central location, a place to which he felt connected for decades—a place of reflection and new beginnings, of play and joy. As a guest in Tautenburg, Eugen Diederichs stayed with Forester Mihm in July and August 1908. He resided in the Old Forester's Lodge, the oldest house in Tautenburg.
