The plateau offers a spectacular view to the east over Spirkelbach, to the south towards Höllenberg plus Luger Tal and to the west towards Hauenstein and Rauberg rocks.
The ideal place to rest and unwind, at least if you are alone on the pillar like me.
There is only a small rock step just under 2 meters high to overcome, which should not be a problem for most people.

The Spirkelbacher Rauhfels (Rauberger rock) is the large rock massif running from east to west on the small Rauhberg. The Otto-Wendel Tower climbing rock forms the end in the west.

When climbing up the south side you pass or bypass the rock tunnel, which is worth seeing.

On the Rauhfels plateau itself you have a fantastic view towards Hauenstein. (A place to unwind)

A separate rock is the Rauhberg pillar to the southeast with a 270 degree panoramic view. Another must.

It's funny that the Rau(h)berg is spelled differently and I couldn't find the correct spelling.
Actually, there is only the small and large Rauhberg near Spirkelbach. The Rauhberg itself is located northwest of Bruchweiler-Bärenbach.
The latest signs show every few meters: "Spirkelbacher Raufels-Tour"
The three-dimensional map at the cemetery car park calls it the "Small and Large Rauhberg"
At the top of the ridge it says "Zum Rauberger-Felsen"
The Open Street Map in Komoot shows 2x Rauhbergpfeiler and 1x Raubergpfeiler for one place.
I'll stick with: "Kleiner Rauhberg" "Rauhbergpfeiler" and "(Spirkelbacher) Rauhfels" :-)

Rauhberg or Rauberg? - It's very simple: Before the spelling reform of 1996, "rauh" was written with an h, since then "rau" has been written without an h. It's better to stick with the old spelling for place names. Rinnthal is still called that, although Tal has long been written without an h.

The Kleine Rauhberg (also Spirkelbacher Rauhberg) is a 371.2 m above sea level mountain in the southern Palatinate Forest. It lies in the Dahner Felsenland, a part of the Wasgau, which is formed by the southern part of the Palatinate Forest. The mountain is completely forested. The mountain features striking red sandstone cliffs, including the Rauhfels on the western slope, the Krappenfels on the northern slope, and the Rauhbergpfeiler on the southern slope. The rocky area is designated as natural monument ND-7340-290 in the municipality of Spirkelbach. In the summit area, there is a tunnel system that was built as part of a military installation on the Westwall.
