At the corner Drygalskistraße is house Wiegand. The architect Peter Behrens designed the silver-gray stone construction with hipped roof in 1911 for the director of the Berlin Antiquities Collection, the archaeologist Theodor Wiegand. Surely, the pillared porch on Peter Lenné Street will immediately catch your eye. As with the realization of the AEG turbine hall in Moabit a few years earlier, Behrens combines elements of neo-classical and modern industrial architecture, in this case with a cassette-like skylight in the ceiling of the courtyard. Haus Wiegand is today the seat of the German Archaeological Institute.

The monumental neoclassical style is unusual for a residential building. The design and ornamentation contain elements of Behrens' industrial architecture as well as references to classical antiquity and Turkey, which presumably reflect Wiegand's influence.
Today the villa, which is a listed building, houses part of the headquarters of the German Archaeological Institute.
