The Church of St. Barbara and St. Mary, Mother of the Church in Recht is one of ten churches in the Strzelno deanery, built of wood around 1753 (another source cites 1758) in the Baroque style. The church is oriented, with its western vestibule facing the road. It has a rectangular plan with a chancel enclosed on three sides, and a rectangular sacristy and porch. It is a wooden structure – logs in a log structure, clad with vertical boards and painted internally with stylized floral motifs, with stone foundations and a brick plinth.
The roof is double-ridged, covered with slate, with a five-pitched roof over the chancel and a lectern roof over the rest of the church. A hexagonal bell tower is located on the eastern ridge of the roof. The windows are closed with full arches, framed with wooden surrounds, and filled with stained glass. The church in Recht is an ideal example of mid-18th-century wooden religious architecture in the Kujawy region.
The work of a student of Veit Stoss In the main altar, two carved angels adore a painting of St. Barbara, the church's co-patron. This altar comes from an earlier chapel, as the date "1725" was discovered on the altar during conservation work (2013-2014). Among the church's valuable furnishings, however, special attention should be paid to the side altar with a late Gothic sculpture of the Descent of the Holy Spirit (likely the work of a 15th-century student of Veit Stoss), and a 19th-century crucifix.
