On the summit of the Rehberg (577 m), built in 1862 from local Buntsandstein. The Rehberg is with 577 meters the highest peak in the German part of the Wasgau. The height, the proximity to the castle Trifels and its characteristic conical shape secure the Rehberg a place of honor among the Palatine peaks. The view from the tower is probably the most impressive of the whole Palatinate.

The climb to the Rehberg Tower is worthwhile. The 14 m high octagonal tower was built in 1862 from the region's colored sandstone. It stands on the 567.8 m above sea level. NHN high Rehberg and offers wide views to the west and south in the Wasgau to Alsace, in the north to the Palatinate Forest, in the east to the Rhine Plain and with good views to the Odenwald and Black Forest. And not to forget: You have a direct view of Trifels, Anebos and Münz from up close.
