      Starting from the Grünheide forest park, you reach the high moor near Grünheide after about half a kilometer on a well-signposted hiking trail. You can walk over narrow footbridges to the edge of the moor, which is a nature reserve. The moor is located in the catchment area of the Red River and is fed, among other things, by the annual precipitation of this region. Many protected animals and plants have their habitat here (moorberry, sundew, etc.). If you want to extend the tour longer, you can also circle the Vogtlandsee.
      The first mentioned paths are barrier-free and can also be used as a circular route.
