The name of the Demut Passage actually comes from the nearby Demut Peak (2,592 meters), but it also fits quite well in the actual sense of the word: Up here at an altitude of over 2,000 meters and with an absolutely magnificent view, many things seem so small and insignificant. Here you can really switch off, here only you, your bike and the trail count.

Speaking of which: the trail can largely be described as flowy, even if individual passages may have to be pushed. Basically, a certain amount of caution is appropriate up here. Incidentally, one of the Stoneman stamping stations is also located on this section.
