An absolutely worthwhile detour! From up here you have great panoramic views, including the Teide, the Pico de las Nieves, the valley...
The ascent is worthwhile, e.g. on the way from/to the Pico de las Nieves. The paths to the top are not clearly marked and do not necessarily correspond to the Komoot map path - it is best to follow the cairns and later simply "up" ;-).

If you want to escape the hustle and bustle of the Picos de las Nieves, you should come here. Absolutely brilliant view. Finally, a bit of scrambling to the summit, but not a problem if you're not wearing flip-flops.
