The tower itself has only existed since 2011. Before that it was "just" a hill from which you could observe the surroundings. Today it is a beautiful destination with a great all-round view and the opportunity to rest.

The Hainichblick is an observation tower near Hütscheroda, a district of Hörselberg-Hainich in the Wartburg district and is located in the Hainich National Park in Thuringia.
The tower, which opened on June 17, 2011, stands on Heidelberg (448.1 m above sea level) and is 20.15 meters high.
It was built as a wooden structure and has an open staircase accessible via the artificially raised Generalsblick hill, as well as a 16-metre-high covered viewing platform.
