The 7km long Wildcat Trail circular hiking trail connects directly to the Wildcat Glade. Here the visitor roams through a real wild cat territory.
The path opens up the southern part of the national park with its open and reforested areas.
The so-called “Generalshügel” offers an impressive panoramic view of nature’s own dynamics with the Hainichblick observation tower.
The view sweeps over the natural and cultural landscape to the Thuringian Forest, the Rhön and the Werra Valley.
