In the village of Omoforovo (former Yazvitsy) near Lakinsk there is an old estate of the Dubrovskys. Here in the middle of the 18th century the landowner, retired officer Pavel Ivanovich Dubrovsky built a noble nest on the bank of a small river Yazvenka (now Khrenovka). In 1769, at his expense, a stone church was built in honor of the Intercession of the Holy Mother of God so that it would keep a particularly memorable image for this man - the icon of the Intercession of the Holy Mother of God, brought by him from a pilgrimage to the Crimea in 1762. From the Omofor (Intercession) of the Mother of God, whose icon was revered in Yazvitsy as miraculous, this village received a new name - Omoforovo. Since ancient times in this village next to the church you can see a massive granite slab, the inscription on which is almost impossible to make out. Local residents claim that this is a monument to Dubrovsky.
