The charming Altstadt-Sankt Sebald area is home to the annual Nuremberg Christmas market, as well as the 11th century Imperial Castle. The guided tours include the tunnels and medieval undergrounds and can also be organized for the Toy Museum, the Hat Museum, the Amber Museum and the Albrecht-Dürer-Haus, the house museum where the painter of the same name lived and designer. The area is dotted with lively beer gardens and taverns serving wine and traditional restaurants.
