In the past, the village of Vtorovo had another name - "Tri Prudka"; then, after the construction of a church here, it began to be called Arkhangelskoye, and the name "Vtorovo" appeared in the 18th century. Back in the 17th century, Vtorovo was the ancient patrimony of the okolnichy N. I. Akinfov.
In 1689, this owner of the village built a stone church here, with a stone tent-roofed bell tower.
