Tanush Topia was an Albanian nobleman and one of the closest confidants of Gjjergj Kastriot Skanderbeg. He came from the Topia clan, which converted from Orthodox Christianity to Catholicism. In 1444, he and his uncle Andrea Topia participated in the founding of the Lesha League, the military alliance led by Skanderbeg. He was commander of the Lesha League infantry. His garrison became famous for its resistance during the Second Siege of Kruja. After this siege, he is not mentioned in historical sources, and some speculate that he was killed at the end of the battle or died shortly afterward. He was a capable commander and loyal to Skanderbeg, which is why he was placed in key positions in the army.
