Bethlehem Church in Dalby is a Grundtvigsk church founded in 1869.
Following the passage of the 1868 law allowing the establishment of autonomous municipalities, Christen Kold relocated its high school from Ryslinge to Dalby in 1853, creating a vibrant cultural environment around the independent school in Dalby.
An oratory called Bethlehemshuset was built there in 1869,
from which the church building evolved. The church was designed in the Neo-Romanesque style by the architect Andreas Bentsen from Vallekilde and consecrated on December 4, 1898.
The structure includes a chancel, a nave, and a western section with two towers. It is built of red bricks arranged crosswise over a concrete foundation. The church's furnishings date primarily from its consecration in 1898.
The altar is decorated with a round-arch fresco depicting a dove of the Holy Spirit flying over vines and a flock of sheep, with a reference to the Gospel of John 6:35. Visitors will find it interesting to admire the architecture and frescoes, which reflect the Grundtvigska culture
and the history of this place, which continues to be a spiritual and cultural reference point.
