Yes, all of the comments are correct, but it shortens the tour from Lingen / Darme to Nordhorn and there is no car traffic.

Cycling on this section of the cycle path along the Ems-Vechte canal can feel a little bumpy at times, and you get shaken around a bit here and there. But the two cycle lanes mostly have a firm surface and are therefore relatively safe to ride on, and you can easily avoid oncoming traffic. It is the shortest and most beautiful cycle path to Lingen, with almost no car traffic.
