Countess Cosel had hedge gardens built to the west of the mountain and water palaces in 1712. This created seven intimate garden rooms that could be individually designed. If you take a short tour starting at the Water Palace along the Elbe side, crossing the Kastanienallee and ending at the Triton gondola at the Bergpalais, you will discover the following rooms:

1. Garden with two peacock sculptures;
2. Garden with potted plants that are not hardy;
3. Perennial Garden; Crossing the Kastanienallee;
4. Garden with azaleas and wintergreen plants;
5. Spice and Herb Garden;
6. Gravel garden with drought-tolerant perennials;
7. Garden with Triton gondola
