Essentially, only part of the tower remains of the ruins, and you can't even enter the ruins. Still, it's a nice little ruin to include in your plans. It's easy to combine with the larger ruins of Schöneck and Windeck, or even the Maginot Line.

There is not much to see of the castle ruin Wineck (Windeck). A high wall and the upper castle, which you can only climb.
The short tour to Wineck should be combined with a visit to one or more of the following castle ruins:
Chateau Schoeneck
Chateau Hohenfels (Dambach Castle)
Wachtfelsen and ruins of Klein-Arnsberg
Alt-Windstein and Neu-Windstein ruins
Ruin Luetzelhardt
So you can comfortably visit several castle ruins in one day.
