The Burgleweg is one of the gateways to the RheinMain Regional Park. It begins on the outskirts of Frankfurt-Sindlingen and continues along the banks of the Main there. This geographical classification reflects the structure of the regional park quite well: it started with the "pilot area" around Hattersheim, Flörsheim and Hochheim, and the idea of a large park gradually spread throughout the entire region. The course of the Burgleweg follows the Mainuferweg in the direction of Okriftel to the Bonnemühle. Beautiful views of the other side of the Main open up again and again through the willow gallery that borders the river. Nowhere else can you see the steep banks of the Main, on which Kelsterbach is enthroned, as impressively as from here. The poplars on Burgleweg are to be gradually replaced by new plantings of locally appropriate ash trees.
