It stands on the main street in the center of the ancient village, known since the second half of the 16th century as the patrimony of Princess Feodosia Pozharskaya, donated by her to the Suzdal Spaso-Evfimiev Monastery in 1572. The slender temple, dominating the rural development, was built in 1804-12. Previously, a tented bell tower stood near the church on the north side (dismantled), and the entire complex, including a cemetery with a stone chapel (also north of the temple), was surrounded by a fence.
