This chapel, located just 2 kilometers from the town of Torredonjimeno, houses the image of its patron saint, the Virgin of Consolation.

Around 1450, an image of the Virgin Mary was found in a nearby cave, which Diego López de Pacheco entrusted himself to before his battle against the Muslim army.

After the Christian victory, Diego López de Pacheco promoted the construction of the current hermitage on top of an existing one.

It consists of a single nave and has a cruciform floor plan. The sacristy is in the Gothic style, and its brick entrance consists of two sections, the upper one containing a niche with an image of the Virgin.
