One of the attractions of Kholui is the temple complex of the Trinity and Vvedenskaya churches, located in a picturesque place - on the bank of the Teza River, not far from the old wooden bridge. The complex consists of the winter Vvedensky Church, the summer Trinity and the gatehouse, while all the buildings are surrounded by a fence equipped with corner turrets, gates and two chapels. The first wooden churches in Kholui appeared in the 16th century.
The temple complex on the left bank, formed during the first half of the 18th and 19th centuries, currently consists of two churches - Trinity of 1748-50. (its baroque decor was later changed) and the Vvedenskaya of 1775, built on the model of the Borkovskaya Kazan Church of 1764. The earliest brick church - the Tikhvin Church of 1739 (dismantled in 1930) - stood opposite, on the market square on the other bank of the Teza, compositionally connecting both parts of Kholui separated by the river.
