The Braunschweig City Parks Department has expanded its tree donation program to include the "Event Tree Meadow" project in Westpark. Two meadows have been developed at the level of the riding club on Madamenweg. For the first time, benches can also be donated for this location.

Seven trees and two benches have been donated here so far and will be installed soon. The aim is to preserve the character of a natural landscape park. The advantage, according to the department, is: "A tree donation in the natural setting of Westpark offers not only a much quieter environment compared to a city or street tree, but also the option of combining a visit to the tree with a subsequent walk in Westpark."
