Named after the Götterhalle of Norse mythology, the Walhalla was built in 1842 at the behest of King Ludwig I. Here since the construction significant personalities of the Germanic language family are honored. These include kings, emperors, painters, composers and generals.

The result is an interesting and sometimes almost bizarre collection. This is an imposing "hall". Similarities with the Acropolis in Athens were certainly wanted when it was built. Opened in 1842 at the instigation of King Ludwig I of Bavaria. Approx. 250 important personalities as marble busts and memorial plaques are honored here inside. The name goes back to "Walhall", the hall of the fallen in Norse mythology.

Walhalla is simply worth seeing. Even I was there for the first time and it was super flashed how beautiful it is there. Unfortunately, it is very crowded there, which you can see from the garbage that has been left behind.

Great building 🏘 which is surrounded by many columns with a corridor. The view of the Danube Valley is excellent 😊. Anyone who takes the trouble/torment goes down the many steps and takes a look at the Walhalla from below. Of course you have to go back up again.
But the views of it and the valley make up for it.

After a short but sometimes steep ascent you reach the Walhalla. This building impresses from afar and leaves a few astonished glances up close. Definitely worth a visit.

There are also ramps for wheelchair users.

You really have to see it, when the weather is nice you can even see the Alps. And the Walhalla is really unique. You discover all the poets and thinkers in Germany that I met 40 years ago in school. And the circular hiking trail is also a really great family trail.

The whale hall is a building in honor of Germanic personalities. This hall is framed by many beautiful columns and gives the building a beautiful sight. You can start this from any position from below and climb the stairs. Is relatively comfortable but exhausting. Ascending from the Danube, 356 steps separate you from the entrance to Walhalla. An impressive building that has contained busts and memorial plaques of important personalities since 1842. Admission is €4.50 for an adult. Everyone should be willing to pay it, since the preservation of such monuments is also financed by the entrance fee. From my point of view
A donation box should be installed near the entrance so that
the many “sight people” can also pay a fee to whom the
