The climb to Mount Taront and especially to the Asta bivouac is for experts.
The path climbs steeply through wooded areas to the top of Taront. From the top, the CAI 977 path descends on a redone track to the Antracisa fork, and then with very exposed segments climbs to the Asta bivouac. The old track that cuts across Taront to the north has been abandoned due to its friability and exposure to the upper Molassa valley.
