The Loddiner Höft is a picturesque peninsula jutting out into the Achterwasser, south of the fishing village of Loddin on Usedom. Particularly impressive are the cliffs, which are up to 16 meters high and offer sweeping views over the Achterwasser and the Lieper Winkel and Gnitz peninsulas. The diverse landscape with sandy beaches, rolling hills, pine forests, and a diverse flora makes the area a popular destination for hikers and nature lovers.

The Loddiner Höft is located in the Usedom Island Nature Park, which was established in 1999 and includes 14 nature reserves. Here, you can enjoy a diverse range of flora and fauna, including numerous rare bird species, and explore a variety of hiking and cycling trails through forests, moors, lakes, and along the Baltic Sea coast.

It's worth getting there early! There's only one bench, so we sat a little off to the side in the sand (like many before us, I guess). It can't hurt to bring a drink 🥂 and something to nibble on 🥐🥨. But be sure to take the leftovers back with you. 😉
