The village of Seminskoye stands on the Koloksha River. In the 15th - early 16th centuries, the village of Seminskoye was the patrimony of the Vladimir Assumption Convent, and in 1512 it was purchased from the convent by the Grand Duke of Moscow Vasily Ivanovich, and from that time until the middle of the 17th century, it was listed in old documents as the sovereign's palace village.
