The Church of St. Nikita the Martyr in Yuryev-Polsky was built in 1796, also by parishioners of the Pokrovskaya Church. The temple turned out to be very beautiful, graceful and bright, now in this ensemble it attracts, perhaps, even more attention than the more ancient and interesting Pokrovskaya Church. Nikita Church was built in the classical style, with three entrances decorated with magnificent porticoes with columns. The high drum with a row of narrow and high windows, providing excellent lighting for the temple, is especially good. The drum is crowned with a small dome, which picturesquely complements the entire appearance of the temple and gives it a striving upward.
