Borgsjö Church was built on the site of an earlier medieval church between 1766 and 1771 in the Rococo style. The architect was Daniel Hagman. The rectangular stone church was consecrated on January 12, 1772. The octagonal bell tower with onion dome was built by Pål Persson from Stugun in 1782. The pulpit and altarpiece in the Rococo style are by Johan Edler the Elder. The altarpiece shows the "Visit of the Magi to Bethlehem" and is signed "Holm, Stockholm, 1794". The wooden baptismal font dates from 1693. A wooden sculpture from the beginning of the 16th century is by Hakon Gulleson. It represents the patron saint of the church, St. Olof.
