Church linked to the legend of the Aguiar clock:
In this town, it is not possible to ask the time, because it is said that in times gone by, a priest collected money to repair the church and its clock, but then disappeared. The people, thinking they had been tricked, rebelled against the missing priest, but one day a huge box brought by a traveller appeared.
It came from the priest and said that inside it was the clock belonging to the church. A holiday was declared in the village so that everyone could watch the opening of this much-needed piece of temporal equipment the following day.
The women were the most curious, with some of them saying that their husbands had a share in the collection inside the box, because they had been generous contributors to such renovation, but when the box was opened, it showed an unusual number of pairs of horns.
Well, the rest is easy to imagine, as is the reason why in Aguiar you cannot ask the population what time it is.
