The Chateau de l'Aguesse (17th century) is named after its owner Mathieu Wauthy, known as YAguesse (which means magpie in Walloon). The figure on the weather vane of the small tower can therefore be interpreted as a magpie.

The Château de l'Aguesse was built in the mid-17th century in the style of the Mosan Renaissance and consists of a main building at the rear and an entrance defended by a round tower. Characteristic of this house are the weather vane on the tower with the image of a magpie and the three-part lintel of the front door. L'aguesse, a Walloon word meaning "magpie", is the nickname of Mathieu Wauthy (l'Agass). This man lived in the castle around the middle of the 17th century.
