In Roerdalen, residents have designated several so-called "happiness spots." You'll find them in the sub-municipalities of Herkenbosch, Vlodrop, Montfort, Posterholt, Sint Odiliënberg, and Melick.
Here you'll find "Happiness Spot 16," the boardwalk. And so it was named "The Knuppelpad van Sint Ludwig" (Saint Ludwig's Club Path). It's not just a boardwalk, though. The sandy path that begins there was also a delightfully beautiful location.
