Idyllic (and apparently nameless) small pass that connects the Cecina Valley with the neighboring valley of the Sterza stream.
From the bridge over the Cecina River through the pretty village of Riparbella to the summit, a good 10km and 500m of ascent, partly steep with 10%+ sections. Asphalt OK to good.
Road narrow and almost car-free, partly shaded by the forest, but always beautiful views of the surrounding hills. Good brakes are necessary for the descent into the Sterza Valley, road on the other side of the pass even steeper and in poor condition.
