As part of the reactivation of the Potsdamer Stammbahn (i2030.de/suedwest/), the former Düppel-Kleinmachnow S-Bahn station is being breathed new life into. This will improve the Düppel-Kleinmachnow region's connections to local rail passenger transport (SPNV). Regional trains will reach Südkreuz station from here in just 13 minutes and Potsdamer Platz station in just 16 minutes. A new regional station with two tracks and 220 meters of platform length is planned. What makes this station special is its location directly on the state border between Berlin and Brandenburg.
