You can enjoy a view of the Hopfensee from many directions and from many places. The closest is of course the circular path around the lake, which is almost 8 km long. Above the town of Hopfen am See, in the forest but with a beautiful view of the lake, lies the Hopfen castle ruins. From here and the path along the beach promenade, you have a view of the mountains in addition to the lake. Depending on the location, this stretches from the Ammergau Alps in the east, including the Tegelberg, over the Säuling to the Tannheim and Allgäu mountains such as the Füssener Jöchle, the Breitenberg and Aggenstein, to the Edelsberg and the Alpspitze in the southwest of the lake, but also to the two castle ruins of Eisenberg and Hohenfreyberg.
You also have a beautiful view of the Allgäu with its numerous lakes and ponds, especially the Hopfensee, from these mountains themselves.
