The early Christian stone-carved church with much older history in the forecourt is an impressive site. A trip is worth it! The forecourt has several rest areas with a view of Scharzfeld.

The stone church and the cliffs on the Steinberg can be combined with the unicorn cave and, if necessary, the Scharzfeld ruins to form a very beautiful, varied circular route.
But the stone church alone is a really worthwhile hiking destination. Until April 15th, 2019 there is also a hiking stamp of the Harzer hiking pin to be picked up.
